Fear No Evil

Well I am down to my last blog of the semester. I know everyone is sad because of how interesting and amazing my posts are. You are all too kind! Anyway, I just want to leave you with the thing from forum that spoke to me the most. What captured all of my attention is when one of the speakers said, "If you never ask, the answer is ALWAYS NO." I reflected on this quote for a few days and this is what I got from it... Fear asserts itself into our lives every single day. It comes in all forms from insects, to rejection, to nightmares, to fearing what people think, etc. The day you stop fearing is the day you have won. You never know when somebody will say yes, or when a risk will pay off in you being rewarded. The only thing you should fear is the Lord Almighty! With God anything is possible. Ill leave you with my favorite bible verse Psalms 33:8. Reflect on it and figure out what it means to you.

Roll Tide Road To 15

I have been an Alabama fan since I was a wee little lad. All of family is Alabama fans, so it was kind of destined for me to be one too. I remember back in the good old days when my grandpa and I would sit together in his recliner and watch the Bama games. It just so happened that my family moved to Tuscaloosa. I started going to the Alabama Games with friends and my dad. If youve never been to a game, then you definitely need to go. It it a blast! Im so happy that Alabama has had such an amazing season. When they lost to Texas A&M, I knew it was still possible for them to make it to the national championship in South Beach. It's really funny that both Kansas St. and Oregon lost in the following week. That moved Alabama to number 2 and Notre Dame to number 1. After Bama beat Auburn the SEC championship showdown was set.

The SEC game was one of the best games ive seen in a really long time. After Georgia went up 21-10 I thought Alabama was going to lose. I knew they had a chance to come back, but Georgia was playing really well. Alabama prevailed over the Bulldogs to sling shot them to the title game. I cant wait until Bama takes down the Fighting Irish. ROLL TIDE!! Lets take South Beach!

Future Me

During this week we played West Alabama. It was just a pride game for us. Beating them would put them out of the playoffs. This game was televised so a lot of people watched it. It was a close game for most of the game but we ended up losing 27-42. I went home that weekend because the game was on a Thursday night. It was really good getting to see my family and visit friends. My sister also came home from Atlanta that weekend so that made it really special. I kind of didnt want to leave home.

I liked the surgeon speaking to us because I want to be an Anesthesiologist. I liked hearing the pros and cons of being a surgeon. Some cons are time, debt, and the sacrifice of relationships. Some pros are satisfaction, community, and monetary reimbursement. Some human values of learning medicine are mentorship, perseverance, practice, and trust. I am really looking forward to starting my career in medicine.

Employee Food Chain

During this week we played Tarleton State. It was another conference game. A lot was depending on this game. If we lost we were out of the playoffs and our season would end after our last regular season game. I wanted to win the GSC championship but making the playoffs would still be nice. Unfortunately, we lost 28-38. We had a terrible game. It sealed the deal for our chance at any kind of post season experience.

A successful employee always shows up on time, is always prepared, is always pofessional, exceeds expectations, and always does the right things. It takes time to move up the career ladder, but it is easier when you are a good employee. Just remember to always capture your opportunities.

Im A Boss

During this week we had a bye week so there was no game. To be honest it felt sooooooo goooooodd to have a week off of practice every single day for football. It gave me time to recooperate and energize myself. I basically just chilled and watched tv all week. It felt good to kind of be a normal student.

The CEO of Shoals Hospital had a very good outlook on life. All men are created equal, yet we do not all have the same opportunities. Also, not everybody applies themselves the same. Some people screw around and throw away their chances at a fantastic life. The thing to do is make a plan about what you want to do and go with it. Do the right thing, the right way, for the right reasons. Im going to leave you with a question.... Do you want to be the boss or have a boss?

Leave and Maybe Come Back

During this week we played West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia. It was a televised game and very important that we won. It was another conference game. If we lose there was no way we could win the conference but we could still possibly make playoffs. We did not play a good game, so as a result we lost 23-38. It was a brutal loss.

I really want to travel the world, so Study Abroad really interests me. I went to Germany senior year, and it was the time of my life. I love learning culture and seeing how people are diversified. I want to go and study outside of the country, but im not so sure it would benefit me. It would also be really hard with football, so I dont think it would work out. It is something I am really considering though.

Art Thou de Art

During this week we played Valdosta State. If we won this game we would be able to play West Alabama the last game of the season for the GSC championship. However, during the first half of this game we found ourselves facing adversity. During the third quarter fans started to leave because we were losing 24-7. We began to show a lot of heart and climbed to 20-24. We had all the momentum and were driving for the win. We ran out of time and lost 20-24. This was very devastating for us.

I really liked the speaker Mr. Mcgee. He was an interesting man. The thing that fascinated me the most is the thought of doing what makes me happy. He said to look back in our childhood memories and think of what made us happy. You should choose a career in some aspect of those happy memories. Just live a simple and uncomplicated life
